In this process, the fiberglass roving is wound on a metallic mandrel of required ID. The roving is allowed to pass through the resin bath under tension to ensure the opening out of individual filaments and the complete wetting of the roving. The impregnated roving will be wound on the mandrel to have OD +3 -4 mm as machining allowance. Depending on the requirement, the roving will be wound circumferentially and axially. The included angle will be at 55 Degrees. The wound cylinder will be cured in side the electrical air-circulating oven at the recommended temperature. After curing, the OD of the cylinder will be machined to the required dimension. Both the ends of the cylinder will be cut off to maintain the desired length.
