Compression Molding Process and Products |
In this process the glass that is in the form of woven roving, mat, cloth, etc. is stacked on an SS plate of known size and the individual layers are wetted by resin. When the total thickness is reached, one more plate of the same size of the bottom plate is kept at top and the whole set up is cured under high pressure and temperature, inside a press. The sheet is then removed after curing and is cut to the required desired size.
